- "I'yard Art, new age philosophy major. I'm fix to scare with y'all, to laugh with you lot...cry with you. Thought you may like to proceed a dream journal."
- ―Fine art[src]
Art is i of the tritagonists of Disney/Pixar'south 2013 animated film, Monsters University. A furry purple monster with an arch shape and bluish stripes on his torso. He is a student at Monsters University, and a member of the Oozma Kappa fraternity. Director Dan Scanlon says of him he is "that weird college guy you lot don't know anything about",[1] and that he is a educatee "Non quite sure what he should be... and nosotros're not quite sure what he is either."[2] Art is a New Age Philosophy major, and has been to jail before.[three] For some reason, Art doesn't have a last name, or at least it is never mentioned and is, therefore, the only named pupil in the film without one.[4]

Groundwork
Official Description
"The ultimate costless spirit, Art is a mysterious monster with a questionable groundwork. By far the strangest member of the Oozma Kappas, Art bowls over the contest—sometimes literally—with his unique dexterity and wild-bill of fare ways. Zip is scarier than the unpredictable, especially when it comes to this furry ball of bad."[v]

Later Oozma Kappa wins the last round, he and the others celebrate, until Mike finds out that Sulley cheated for him, and he runs away, very heartbroken. When the group finds out that Mike went into the human being world, they distract the security guards for Sulley to go into the door and salvage Mike. When they return and are escorted by the CDA, Roz assures the friends that any happens to the 2 is up to Dean Hardscrabble.
After Art and the others find out that Mike and Sulley accept been expelled, they say their goodbyes, and too assure them that Hardscrabble has invited them to join in the side by side semester of the Scaring program, as she was impressed by their piece of work in the games.
